European Researchers’ Nights is one of the most important public scientific events dedicated to bringing researchers closer to the public.
In Italy, SHARPER is the name of one of the 9 projects supported by the European Commission for the realization of the European Researchers’ Night in 2018 and 2019.
SHARPER means SHAring Researchers’ Passions for Evidences and Resilience and aims to involve all citizens in the discovery of the job of researcher and of the role that researchers play in building the future of society.
SHARPER is funded by the European Commission in the framework of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions of the Horizon 2020 program and is coordinated at national level by the scientific communication company Psiquadro.
For Sardinia, Cagliari participates in the SHARPER project together with the city of Nuoro, while other 10 cities are involved in the rest of the peninsula: Ancona, Caserta, Catania, L’Aquila, Macerata, Naples, Palermo, Pavia, Perugia and Trieste.
For the city of Cagliari, the local section of the INFN is organizing the event together with the University of Cagliari with the collaboration of numerous institutions and regional research institutions.
